Truk Lagoon Dive Center at the Truk Stop Hotel

In memory of ‘Nuwa’, one of Truk Lagoon’s most respected and trusted dive guides, who passed away on May 8th in the local hyperbaric chamber following a dive related incident. Our most sincere sympathies and condolences go out to his family and the many friends he made around the world while guiding divers through the wrecks of Truk Lagoon. Nuwa will forever be a diving legend.

Corky Stinnett

Corky is the youngest of the Stinnett family. She graduated high school from Academy of Our Lady of Guam in 2005 and then went to study in Dalian, China for a couple of years. Corky learned how to dive in 2002, and today she is a Dive Master and dive guide for TLDC. She loves the ocean and enjoys diving with tourists from different countries. Her favorite wrecks are the Nippo Maru because it has a very cool tank on the deck, and Shinkoku Maru for its beautiful corals, abundant fish life, and especially the leopard sharks.

Jerson Inchin

Jerson was born and raised in Weno, Chuuk. He is married to a local Chuukese girl and they have 3 beautiful girls. He enjoys fishing and bringing food home for his family. Jerson started working with Truk Stop Hotel as a Construction worker and then moved over to the dive shop in 2012 and has been a dive guide since. His favorite wreck is the San Francisco Maru because he likes to see the tanks and interesting holds with plenty to see.

Boat driver/compressor operator/dive shop technician/Mr Fixit – Teno is our all round team player who can turn his hand to most things. He’s worked at TLDS for over 5 years, originally as a dive guide, but now he prefers to stay dry.

Our trusty boat driver who gets us safely to and from the dive sites. He’s a little bit shy, but very strong and will help you get in and out of the water with a friendly smile.

JR is one of our Boat Drivers that learned how to drive boats since he was a young boy. He likes to free dive and spearfish on his spare time. He enjoys hearing the divers stories after they dive and hopes one day to become a dive guide himself.
